Cortland County Man Charged After Deputies Bust Meth Lab

— A man is charged after deputies bust a meth lab in Cortland County. Investigators were called to a mobile home along State Route 221 in Willet Monday evening. According to deputies, a small amount of meth was found when the owner was interviewed. An extensive search with several agencies was performed Tuesday. Investigators said equipment to make meth was found in the residence and storage sheds, along with a small amount of marijuana. Crews were called in to handle hazardous materials. The home’s owner, 45-year-old James Homza is being charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawfully manufacturing meth among other charges.
