The police contract will expire at the end of 2015. Negotiations are expected to start later this year. Carpenter pointed out that Laudermilch has been involved in two vehicle accidents in which he was charged with traffic violations. “I don’t want to see him on the negotiating team with the police department because I think it would be a conflict of interest,” Carpenter said. Other council members concurred, suggesting that Quairoli, council vice president Pat Hennessy and borough manager Roger Powl be on the borough’s negotiating team. Council’s next meeting will be a workshop at 6 p.m.
